Marketplace Grille In The Boat Yard Trolley

I love this place, but if we were there today, there was a for Lease sign on the building and a note from the owners in the window that they would move to a new location. there were no additional information, but it said they would keep the phone number and updates on this wise. I can't wait until they reopen, it always feels like visiting family when we go there.

I kid you not, this is going down in history as my favorite salad. Period. End of discussion. My wife and I met a friend here for lunch while we were in town. When we arrived, the restaurant was just opening for the day and we got a table right by the window with a view of the water. We felt welcome and were treated very well. Our server (perhaps also the owner? was friendly and excited to have us visit. She helped us navigate the menu and order just the right things. I wanted the arugula salad without the arugula.... so a fruit salad she said. Ha! I added some grilled chicken to the non-arugula salad and waited patiently. A little while later, I was diving into it. The salad was made with incredibly fresh ingredients-all the greens and the fruits could have been picked that day, for all I could tell. And the chicken? The chicken was perfection. There was a vinaigrette dressing that pulled all the flavors together in a wonderful symphony of tastes. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the company and the hospitality. I look forward to a future visit to Gig Harbor, where I will be sure to put the Marketplace Gill on my itinerary!
