The menu is extensive, with about 50 choices that range from appetizers to special dinners, covering everything from burgers and breakfast dishes to soups and salads. Today, I opted for the Veggie Burger, though it was tough to choose between that, the club sandwich, and the taco salad. Ultimately, the Veggie Burger won me over. I paired it with a side of fresh fruit, though I couldn't resist snagging one of my husband’s onion rings—so tempting! The burger was flavorful, distinctly different from others I've had, and I learned it was a new option they were testing out—definitely a hit! It came topped with salad, onions, and tomatoes, and the fruit was fresh and tasty. Overall, I was very pleased with my meal. My husband chose the Monte Cristo, which is hard to find in our usual area. He added onion rings to his sandwich. The Monte Cristo was a classic deep-fried sandwich consisting of two slices of French toast filled with ham, turkey, Swiss, and cheddar cheese. He found it good, but not exceptional, while the onion rings were delicious and you could really taste the onion—whether they were frozen or handmade, I couldn't say, but they were definitely enjoyable! A special highlight of our lunch was our server, Virginia. She was warm, personable, and had a great sense of humor, making our experience all the more enjoyable. She checked in with us just the right amount—never too little or too much. I would consider her an outstanding server! The Sunset Grill may feel a bit dated, but everything appeared clean during our visit. There were no unpleasant odors, sticky tables, or dirty floors, and the restroom was also fairly tidy. If you find yourself in Gig Harbor and are looking for a casual meal, I highly recommend checking out Sunset Grill, located in Harbor Plaza at 4926 Point Fosdick Dr, Gig Harbor, WA. The restaurant's layout can be a bit confusing, situated among a variety of other businesses, but rest assured there’s plenty of parking available! Thank you for supporting our local small businesses and jobs. And remember, please be kind to all living things!
This was our second visit to this restaurant. It was about 7 years ago when we stopped for lunch. When we came to the restaurant, I noticed that this was a very clean restaurant. I visited the toilet room and it was clean, so we decided to stay. The staff welcomed us with a pleasant smile and quickly sat down. Breakfast was excellent and our waitress was always there to assure our needs. This was a pleasant breakfast and we met one of our waiters from Ben Du, The Clubhouse Restaurant in Tacoma. We will be back because of the staff, service and meals. Thank you.
My favorite pancakes in the world since I was 5 years old. If they're busy, they don't have enough staff for it. You can tell the staff the dose they can possibly, but they are so contaminated their service goes down. I never complain about it because I can see that they are stressed to the maximum. You really need a dedicated front receptionist on Sundays and Saturday morning to respond to order calls to go and check people.
The food here is fantastic and safe. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the dishes never fail to impress.
I've had breakfast at this place a few times. The first two experiences were excellent, though the wait time was longer than expected. However, the quality of the food and the reasonable prices made it worthwhile. I always order the waffles topped with berries. Unfortunately, during my last takeout order, they switched out the waffles for ones that were paper-thin and chewy, almost like cardboard, and they also forgot my fruit. It was really disappointing.
