Had two antipasto dishes, Carpaccio de solomillo camembert frito, followed by their pizza pompeyana. Very tasty and reasonably priced, 60 euros for three adults, wine and coffee included.
I came across this restaurant by chance in Gijon and kept on coming back as the 'La Casa Pompeyana ' is one of my favourite restaurants in Gijon. The Chef is actually from Naples and knows many old typical recipees that are only found in specialised restaurants. I absolutely loved the Spaghetti Posillipo with seafood and the Profiteroles are to die for. The atmosphere of the restaurant are also very characteristic of an old Pompeyan style and I really felt at home. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone as it caters for all palats however remember that this restaurant is a Neapolitan restaurant and not a 'Sidreria ' hence all the dishes are very sophisticated. I hope to be able to come and visit again soon and vertainly I will spread the word on this place. many thanks :0)
