Contribuisci feedbackMy husband, grandson, and I visited the Gillingham KFC this evening. We waited in the drive-thru line for 20 minutes without moving. Even though we wanted to leave, we were unable to because cars had joined the line behind us. It took us a total of 35 minutes to finally place our order for a 6-piece bucket of chicken. We noticed that the restaurant door was locked, preventing several families from entering due to unforeseen circumstances. After waiting a total of 45 minutes, we received our order but were disappointed to find only 5 pieces of chicken in the 6-piece bucket. Despite the long wait, we did not receive an apology. The chicken was wet, which is not typical of properly cooked KFC chicken, and the coating was excessively greasy, making it inedible. We ended up throwing the food away and going to McDonald's instead. We will not be returning to this KFC.
I am writing this review because it is impossible to get in touch with KFC. I ordered a meal through the Uber Eats app and it arrived 10 minutes later (good job Uber). However, the fries were cold and appeared to have been cooked two days ago. The chicken was lukewarm and ended up being fed to the dog. I apologize for the negativity, but I am angry that I spent my hard-earned money on a product that was only suitable for a dog.
We visited this branch on Sunday and it was one of the most stressful experiences for myself and my partner. Firstly we ordered at the counter only to realise after we placed the order that some other customers had been waiting 30mins for their food. Everyone that did get the food had an issue or 2 with missing items. We also had the fries missing x4 out of an order with x4 fries. I mean how does that happen? Observing the staff members frantically moving from one area to another with no actual work being done. One girl chatted with everyone for the whole 30mins and didn't fulfil a single order . One topic was what does lady laya from star wars wear? The drive through que was just as bad as the cars only moved a few spots by the time we came out. Instead the drive through order placers were joking and laughing amongst each other . There was no visible management and everyone looked school age and acted like it too. We saw 4 staff members on a break eating quite frankly one of each item of the menu. The food itself looked like it was backing up on the bypass and some of the items sat there for at least 20mins before being bagged and given to the rightful purchaser. Absolute joke of a place and definitely needs some new structure of staff members for future business. Which wont be from me.
Last 2 times I have ordered from here 1st time the order looked like it was chucked into the bag! Just ordered again today reluctantly and this time missing items! Will be giving up with kfc now!
I ordered through Deliveroo and waited 2 and a half hours for the food it then said it had been delivered and it hadn 't ,I had to drive to Gillingham to collect another one after spending £29.00 to be told never mind by a staff member ,they didn 't care and the service was terrible ,spoke to Deliveroo who gave me s refunf
