I felt like I was in a European village. it was a great experience and I would have eaten three meals a day here. I was limited to a week in this one, but spent several days in this restaurant/bakery. a must when they are in girdwood
For big group with teenagers and younger years. beautiful view to see their children, young and youthful learning ski. they must be a paying customer at the bargrill, where the look when they don't like me skiing. the bar and grill with excellent eating, I had no problem to stay a paying customer.
I'm from san francisco, I was everywhere, and I'm getting sourned broth everywhere I go. this place has some of the best, slightly up including california places. get the bread and pancakes. eier were in order, but nothing special.
The breakfast, sandwiches and suppen here are amazing. the pizza is in the average. if they ask a big table with just a few people whether they can participate in their table, it is perfectly acceptable in this small joint.
The wife and I took a trip to Girdwood. We stayed close by to The Bake Shop. The worst days of our trip were Monday and Tuesday as The Bake Shop was not open. Seriously, we ate here every day we could! You MUST try the Reuben here, but you can’t go wrong with anything you order. Get in early if you want to find a seat as this place gets busy and for good reason. The staff is all friendly and helpful. We cannot wait to visit Girdwood again and patronize the Bake Shop more!
