Captain Morgans - Gisborne

Awesome location nice enough shop but the food, well, inedible, basic burger $14 so drenched in sauce couldn't eat it, toasted sandwich was stone cold had luncheon instead of ham, half a slice of processed packet cheese and one piece of tomato right in the middle ordered 2 of them one never came out and when asked it came cold as it had been left on the bench. The people next to us were missing most of their meal and had to complain, the cook really needs training. $54 walked out still hungry.

Perfectly fried fish with a beautiful crispy teig with a generous part crispy fries. also the salt and pepper sprout, which was also perfectly cooked, it was a bit too salty for me.

I decided against trying the food for a late lunch, as it appeared to have been sitting out since the restaurant opened. I opted for ice cream as a safer choice, but even the flavors that didn’t look frosted over tasted icy or so stale that they were chewy. I ended up throwing it in the nearby trash to avoid feeling ill. Not to mention, the portion sizes were extremely small. This place really needs to shut down.

The best dish we had was my pie, along with the sliced apple and toast. My meal arrived cold, while the rest of the family received overcooked or dry food. It used to be one of the best places, but now the portions are half what they used to be and not worth the overpriced meals we were served. Also, we had to wait a long time. Haha, I won’t be going back.

Fantastic drinks and wonderful meals! I and my family were served by a beautiful dame and eating is quickly made from the kitchen. we would like to thank you. we had coffees with amazing art on him and a perfect grilled stealing meal! five stars! highly recommended
