We heard about Captain Caper's from the owner of the RV place where we were staying. We made sure and stop by and he treated us like royalty! What an interesting setting - lobster traps, stump chairs with 2 x 4 backs, weird nautical things lying all around, lots of colorful stuff. Much fun. The kids loved it (both the atmosphere and the food) and he made them feel right at home. A great treat for us!
We stumbled on this little wayside eatery place as we were driving around Cape Breton. Brought back memories of the yummy fish and chips we experienced in Brittain! Also had scallops, which were equally tasty. Moe, the owner, is a delightfully laid back, funny guy who added to the ambiance. The seating is outdoors on tree stumps or at small tables, so the atmosphere is truly casual. Thoroughly enjoyed and worth the stop!!
Amazing fish and chips, friendly owner, cool little place. If you are in the area you have to stop by. Even if you don't like fish and chips I would recommend stopping by just for some fries.
I grew up in FL and love fish & chips! This is the best I have ever had. The batter was very light and crispy and the fries were yummy. The portions were very generous. We did not go away hungry. It is a cute outdoor nautical restaurant with a water mister to keep you cool. It is very convenient to the ferry and the view overlooking the water is very relaxing.
