I've tried all their Nature Yeast Breads—the more expensive ones—and they've got a nice chewiness without being overly sweet. Although, the Durio flavor does have quite a bit of sweetness! My personal favorite is the black sesame mochi bread. It’s always packed with sesame sauce, making it totally worth the price. I expected it to have just a little bit of filling, which is common at other bakeries, but this one definitely exceeds expectations. This bakery isn't about fancy desserts or Instagram-worthy treats; it’s a great spot to fill your stomach without breaking the bank.
The owner, who I believe is the grandma, mentioned that everything is baked fresh in the store and doesn't contain any preservatives. However, I'm not certain if it's due to the pandemic, but the white bread loaves are only baked every other day. My kids have really enjoyed the bread; it's soft and tasty!
I ordered this sandwich to take with me, and it was fantastic! Wow! It reminded me of the sandwiches you find in Japanese 7-Elevens or Family Marts in Taiwan. And it was under $3, too!
