Casa-nova Gladesville

We had a very disappointing experience at Casa Nova Gladesville. We placed an order through Uber Eats at 5:41 pm for 3 pizzas, 1 pasta, and 2 servings of garlic prawns, totaling $140. Unfortunately, our order was cancelled without notice at 6:20 pm, before we even had a chance to taste the food. When we called Casa Nova to inquire, they informed us that they couldn't make one of the pizzas and cancelled the entire order without consulting us first. We were willing to make substitutions, but were not given the opportunity. The woman we spoke to suggested re-ordering, but this would have meant waiting another hour. Disappointed by this experience, we ordered from a different restaurant and will not be returning to Casa Nova. The food at this restaurant is top-notch. We visited on the Thursday evening before Easter, but renovations were taking place which slowed things down a bit. The service was good, with a rating of 4 out of 5. The atmosphere also scored a 4 out of 5. The price per person for a dinner meal ranged from A$20 to A$40.

Our experience at this restaurant was disappointing. Our waitress was inexperienced and we had to repeatedly ask for basic things like cutlery and glassware. The food was poor quality for the hefty price we paid, with some items not available. The menu seemed extensive but many dishes were unavailable due to lack of ingredients. The steamed vegetables included capsicum, beans, and broccoli, which was an odd combination for a main dish. The lack of a coffee machine at an Italian restaurant was surprising. The main meals came out at different times, even though the restaurant was not busy. We asked for a discount due to the poor experience and received it, but the manager falsely claimed to own other restaurants. It seems that this place may prioritize takeout pizza over dine-in service. We do not recommend eating in at this restaurant. 1 out of 5 stars for dine-in service. Really disappointing night out for a much awaited family get together and celebration. Service was amateurish at best, no clue how to host us and provide basic items for a dinner service. We had to ask for everything. Orders were brought out at a slow staggered pace. We had to approach the kitchen to see how things were progressing. We were the first table for the night and our last due to such slow service with so many issues. Coffee orders taken just to be told there was no working coffee machine! When we contested the bill due to terrible food and service the manager was overly rude and could not care less. I would avoid this lack of quality with other options in the area. Food is horrible with the new chef. Have ordered for the last couple of years and the food recently has gotten so bad I called them to let them know how disappointed I was and no one has bothered to call back, they just said they have a new chef.
