Chicken Express - Gladewater

We love chicken express especially the sweet tea. Happy hour sweet you get a large for $0.50. Where else are you gonna find such a great deal especially in this economy. The chicken is always fried just right not a greasy mess. They have a large selection of sides which are all great in my families opinion. You can drive thru or eat inside. The staff is always friendly. The only reason for the deduction in any stars is because last time we went a family meal was around $35 which was enough to feed all 4 of us. I saw the price had gone up to $85. I understand inflation and this economy is terrible but I don't known many people who are able to.afford that for one meal .

Gladewater chicken express is by far my absolute favorite! Customer service is excellent super friendly! My favorite employee is one of the ladies she works the drive-thru! She ALWAYS ALWAYS makes sure I am 100% satisfied! I don’t even know her name but I know her as Hi sweet girl! Everytime she sees me she make sure she finds me in no matter if it’s my truck or I’m riding along with someone else! Just to say hey sweet girl!

The lady working the drive thru is rude, cuts you off to the point you can barely place your order. I have tried 3 times and all 3 times she has been this way and I did not receive what I ordered. Each time I had to go inside to get the things she failed to give me. One time she did not give me my drink and when I waited at the window to ask for it she made it seem like it was my mistake, (yes I made sure it was on the receipt before I asked). We rarely go here any more but when we do, we definitely go inside. Everyone else is super friendly and attentive.

The chicken tenders was mostly gristle and the drive-thru person wasn't very friendly. The price was high for the two snak packs I got.

If I could give a negative rating I for would in a second!! Ordered food thru drive thru ,paid,was told to pull up,.... For like 20 something minutes! People behind me received their food pretty promptly. I back up and the wannabe manager comes to the window, finally and hands me a box.. he did apologize but I got home , they gave me like 5 pieces of fish instead of the 3, no sauce at all, macaroni and cheese had brown pieces . Looked like they scrounged around to get me outta there. I was displeased and probably should have been refunded.. this was total trash.. never going back to this place..
