Gladstone Fish Market Hot Box

Although there may be a bit of a wait during busy times, it's well worth it because the food is exceptional. Everything is always fresh and cooked to perfection. You'll be hard-pressed to find better fish and chips anywhere. My only suggestion is that they could benefit from a larger kitchen!

They had been looking for a fish burger and had left the bungalows in search of it. As a result, they received the burger without the buns, but it came with fries and a Coke. The hoki was great, and the fries were fantastic—definitely the best I've had in Gladstone so far!

However, despite there being three staff members and only eight patrons (four pairs), we had to wait a surprisingly long time—about 30 minutes—for our food. The tables and chairs in the dining area needed cleaning, as they still bore the remnants of previous diners. Since the staff appeared quite busy, we asked for paper towels and took it upon ourselves to wipe down the table and chairs. This wasn’t a huge inconvenience for us, but it did deter some other customers from dining in once they received their orders. This was the only downside to our visit, and it’s something the GFMHB management could address through a bit of staff training. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful, especially with customers who were indecisive about their orders. Overall, I rated the Gladstone Fish Market 5 stars because the quality of their seafood is truly excellent.

Wow. What a jewel. The dough is so thin, golden and crisp that I was astonished as good it was. The fish was beautiful and flocky, yarn was massive and juicy, chips were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and the bow is so soft and tender. The seafood box for one is a great way to taste a bit of everything. We also tried the Calamari and potato scallop and was a little disappointed as the Calamari was a bit chewing and the potato scallop was too thick, so it was a little rough in some parts. Nevertheless, the fish and chips that are amazing would still come back.

The fish was fantastic well cooked and moist, the chips very tasty. Will be back
