Golden Chicken - Gladstone

We come from golden chicken at least once a week. eating and service are consistently good. there are two stands in gladstone. both provide good food and service. it's nice to know what they get.

You can choose to sit inside or outside at this restaurant, just be mindful of not blocking the pedestrian walkway. I decided to order the Schnitzel platter. When my meal was brought out to me, I realized there were no utensils provided. I had to eat my chicken and chips with my fingers until I asked for a fork and knife. The chicken was well-cooked and properly cut, which made me happy. I wasn't a fan of the amount of salt on the chips, as they seemed overly seasoned. The gravy was delicious.

We went here for lunch on the weekend having heard some good reviews about the food. We were craving a burger and ordered the chicken fillet burger with chips and a drink. The burgers were very sad with thin pieces of overcooked chicken, a few...pieces of lettuce and too much mayo. The sevice was ok but it was quite pricey and overall we didn't enjoy the experience. Not sure if the chicken pieces would have been better as lots of people were ordering whole chooks.

The fries and loaded potatoes were delicious, and the ambiance was nice as well. I would recommend this place for anyone seeking an affordable meal with generous portions.

There are a few ridiculous criticisms here. One person asking for salad on a chicken roll (who does that?), and another reviewer claiming they can get food poisoning from speckha (so silly). Overall, this is a great place to eat, with a unique atmosphere.
