Rotunda Bar & Diner - Glasgow

Ate in rotunda bar &a grill, never again... it was terrible it was like a rough and very noise local pub. The service was terrible we had to wait over an hour for our mains as waitress forgot to order it omg..... no apology when this happened she just avoided our table. It was unorganised, food bland, just flung on a plate. Yeh the place was busy but for drinkers not diners... could hardly move no room. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived and they didn't know where they gonna seat us. I requested a booth which to the guy at door was shocking, I should just sit wherever. Emmm don't think so.. plastic school chairs around hundreds of flung in tables. I would never return here!!!! And I would advise family and friends not to either....

Would recommend to use before a concert space as get free parking, and I think this restaurant would be better on a non concert night however we were let down by the frantic staff on our visit. It is understandable to be extremely busy and stressed on a concert night considering how full the restaurant is, but to be sitting for 30 minutes before receiving your drink even though you’ve already finished your starter is ridiculous. Then asking the waiter if you could catch one) is it okay to get our drink yet and they look at you very confused, was a weird experience for us. As we were seated on the stage part of the restaurant, I think this didn’t help our situation as we didn’t have the same waiter to come over and attend to us. Rotunda was quick enough to take our starter away and bring out the Main however we sat for again another 30 minutes waiting on someone to take our main dish plates away and ask if we required a desert. As they didn’t ask I quickly asked a waiter would it be ok if we got a desert, they looked at me as if I was asking them to wash my hair for me. It was unbelievable and myself and my partner could actually not stop ourselves from laughing at this. Food was okay but for the money you are paying the service needs to improve. Customer service was not great at all, very unfortunate as we were looking forward to this for a while :

Took a while to find us a table, then the waitress didn’t seem to know which drinks were available behind the bar as she had to keep checking, after that the service and the food was great, i would definitely return.

Terrible food, terrible service. We were pretty much ignored, when I asked to order dessert waitress rolled her eyes said i suppose so?!! Really bad

I thought the set menu looked good, seemed good value and good choice. However we were not impressed with the quality of the food. I had mozzerella sticks, can't really go wrong with them but didn't like the sauce being all over the plate and not to dip in. My friend had chicken strips, good size portion for a starter but they were quite dry and the bbq sauce wasn't pleasant. Main courses were most disappointing. I had BBQ beef brisket but it should be sold as a roast beef dinner. There was far too much of the overly sweet bbq sauce (gravy). My friend ate less than half of her macaroni cheese as it wasn't very nice and her garlic bread had no garlic, just toasted bread. Overall pretty disappointed.
