Asmaan Tandoori - Glasgow City

My wife and I visited the restaurant on Friday, August 14th, only to find out that the establishment was closed for renovations. We were frequent customers and were surprised to see that no one had mentioned the closure beforehand. We are curious to know if there are any changes beyond just renovations.

My husband Brian and I have been dining at Asmaan for 20 years, and we are never disappointed. The food is always top-notch, as is the wonderful service from Jaffa. I recently held my office Christmas party at Asmaan on Saturday, the 8th, and once again, the food and service were excellent. All 10 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal, thanks to Jaffa.

We'll come back!. Visited Asmaan for the first time on Saturday after the Scotland game. Two of us were given a table for four which is always ideal, and served quickly and efficiently. Starter of pakora was large and delicious, main course was medium size but adequate, and spicy just the way I like it. Slightly disappointed with the red wine selection( only 3 available), but that apart ,delighted, and will come back again next time we're in Glasgow.

Dinner at Asmaan's. Had never been in the restaurant before but left feeling I'd been going for years. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful with a special mention for Jaffa who was great! There were three of us in our party and the food was delicious, plentiful and very reasonable. Would thoroughly recommend for people on their own, couples, families and larger parties! Great place to go. :D

Happened upon a GEM!!!!. While visiting Glasgow on Holiday, we found our family of 4 hungry for dinner! We wanted good Indian food so we turned to UrbanSpoon for some guidance. It pointed us to a nearby restaurant which could not seat us, so we took another shake on our iPod. Asmaan Indian Restaurant showed up and we were standing steps away! We dined on the Family for 4 special and Jaffa took excellent care and assured us we'd get the best! He was right! With delicious starters and 4 different dishes, one fish, one chicken, one lamb and one vegetables. Two rices and 2 Naans also accompanied the dinner. Cost for this was about 60 British Pounds.
