Max's And Grill - Glasgow City

Has become a mexican place which is fine if that's what you were expecting but I wasn't. Had expected it to be how it was last time I was in, which was tbf a few years ago now. Food was ok, tasty enough and filled a hole but was overpriced for what you got. The Banksy drink wasn't too nice. I'm not a fan of Irn Bru but it didn't really taste of Irn Bru or of any alcohol. Was a glass of orange liquid with a traffic cone. Service quite slow as well, plus we felt forced into getting food or leaving, as we were sitting at a table having a drink that is now in an area reserved for food only. No drinks only area apart from standing at the bar. Bar service also not great. Waited and watched staff making cocktails when all I wanted was a Guinness. Paid by card only to be asked to select whether I wanted to give a tip. Based on the service and not having then, yet tasted the Guinness I thought it a bit soon to be asking for a tip. I'll not be in a hurry to go back. Shame really, it was always a pretty good bar. Shame it's been taken over by this Mexicana effect popping up everywhere.

Good atmosphere,but hada cooking show then dragon ball Z on the TV for some reason.

The pub is very nice with a good variety of options. The staff are also very friendly.

Didn't try the food but in the evenings this place is jumping. Awesome atmosphere, feels a bit like a European bar.

Nice pub, went for a drink with my friend. Nice friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Will return to try the food as it sounds great
