Fabby Wee Cafe. I love this place. It hasn't been opened for very long, and to be honest, I didn't notice it was there, but now that I have found it I go there at least once per week. The owners are friendly and down to earth, and cook good food at a great price. It is funky without being too posey, and manages to cater for the older customers who come in for a cup of tea and a slice of cake, as well as the younger crew who come in for a Saturday afternoon coffee. I love the fact that they do an all day breakfast, Why don't more places do this? and their tea menu has a great variety. So much so, it could be called a tea shop. Lovely Addition to Southside. This is only a new place, less than a month old I think, but I've already been in twice. The decor is really quite funky and cozy, with mismatched tables and a big church pew. The all day breakfast was good quality and good value at under a fiver. We've also had lunch of homemade soup and half a sandwich also under a fiver. I had the brie, bacon and onion marmalade sandwich which was on toasted sourdough bread (a first for me). We'll be back to check out the tea menu. Definitely a new regular spot for us!
Terrible. Went for a little lunch with my husband, sister and 2 year old daughter. A complete squeeze due to badly arranged tables and a ridiculously sized fridge. Ordered toasties all round, my daughters ham toastie arrived. The ham barely resembled meat, and mine arrived only once everyone else had finished theirs. Not a pleasant experience, and one I will not be repeating.
Friendly, relaxing and comfortable wee cafe. Free wifi, home made cakes and soups as well as amazing teas. Hot rolls are popular here as are their delicious soups.
