The food at this restaurant was terrible. I had one of the worst meals ever, with a dry and under-seasoned ciabatta and steak burger. There were no vegan options available despite being advertised. The only positive aspect was that the bathrooms were clean.
Recommend the carrot and coriander soup and delicious apple pie with lots of custard. Best of luck for good weather for out door dining this summer
This is a small cafe where we were made welcome. Served decent inexpensive food in clean surroundings. What more do you want from a small village cafe?
My family and I stopped here for lunch after visiting the Glencolmcille Folk Park. We wanted a quick lunch and there are few options in the area. We ordered off the take away menu (we would have liked to sit down there and eat so we could be on our way but we weren’t allowed if we preferred the food from that menu even though the place was mostly empty). We ordered burgers and then, banished from the premises even though we paid them money and 90% of the tables were available, found a place down the street to sit on a stone wall and eat our lunch. The burgers were okay but nothing special. At least there were toilets to use while we were waiting for our food. However, signs sternly admonish people that they are for customer use only and that there is no WiFi available; they apparently like to cultivate a friendly and welcoming environment here.
