Went here a few weeks back. Took a while to get served even though it was not very busy. We opted for the hot pot special which was from memory under $30 & you can order as much items from a certain menu (the usual meat, vegetables etc). If you wanted other items that were 'special' dishes you will have to pay for them on top. I do not mind this place as I liked the soup bases (chose the half spicy & half chicken soup). The selection & variety of items that is part of the special is not too bad and includes the usual thing I would order. I still have mixed feelings about this place so I might give it another go for a final verdict. The service was a bit touch & go. It really depended on which person you managed to flag down.

First of all, the menu is all in Chinese and they give you an iPad to order for yourself. No waiter will take your order or don't expect anyone to explain anything to you, you will have to figure it out yourself. The menu is in Chinese so you will have to guess that you got the right order. We requested for private dining as there were 6 of us and we had to order over $250 to be seated in the private dining. So basically we ordered a lot of food. Service is absolutely ****. You need a new word for ****. I had to run to the bar to ask for menu, food, fork, tea, water, napkins, in fact I had to run twice for tea because they kept forgetting to bring it to us. Food was average. I am a big fan of Sichuan food and know and been to quite a few Sichuan restaurants. This place is the worst of one I have been. The fish fillet with dry chillies - fish is not that fresh you can smell the frozen fish flavour slightly. Cucumber salad is FAIL, scampi you only get 1/4 of the amount you get from Red Chillies in Dixon street at a similar price. Rice didn't taste fresh - it was dry, Calamaries, Lamb and vegetable dishes, shallot pancakes - nothing special. If you never had Sichuan food anywhere else you might think food is okay but believe me, forget this place and go to China town or go to Kingsford. This place got to be one of the worst service that I experienced in Sydney. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. goodtasteguide.blogspot.com
