Bala's Cafe - Glen Eira

Got a variety of take away from here, and on the upside, it's one of the few times with curries, I didn't feel sick afterwards from overeating. In fact a few mouthfuls of each dish seemed quite sufficient. I'm not quite sure what they'd done - the thai curries tasted like they had an overdose of cornflour and the noodles were disturbingly tasteless, and the bread was just not right. So it wasn't awful, it just had nothing going for it - and admittedly striking that specific line of indifference doesn't happy very often. It is cheap and quick though - so maybe it's about making the right choices there?

I have been going to this place for over 20 years. A must have when in St Kilda. Followed by 7 apples ice cream. A must try!

Dropped in for a quick Malaysian curry lunch - under $10 and excellent. Haven't been for years and was as I remembered - quality food at reasonable prices. Can even get lakhsa.

They have broad range of asian - thai, indian, chinese mix. We had a quick takeaway back to our apartment. The food was good.
