Lona Restaurant & Bar - Glen Eira

For the first time in melbourne since covid. looks good when we came in, where said we could eat and order drinks by scanning the code on the table. we have sat and ordered drinks. as we went out, we decided to order food 5 minutes later. we ordered a starter and two nets. the starter came out at the same time as the pasta of my wife. not soaking yet. my chicken parma came 5 minutes later. we have a waitress to see where our drinks are. she went and checked and came back and said that they had no drink order from us. I produced the proof I had ordered at that time, went back and picked her and put her on the table. No excuse. my chicken parma was terrible, more like a hahnparma, hard and overcrowded. the pasta of my wife was cold when my parma arrived and we got our drinks. they would not waste their time and money here if they want to eat good and service.

Great pub and bistro. is really busy. very courteous and friendly staff, as we had a group of 7 with some children/teenagers and put them in the back beer garden. good food and good choice of drinks at average prices. only at the bottom was that the people left the front and also in the beer garden. Many fans keep the beer garden cool. Easy online ordering and payment via QR code allows them to leave a tipp and split notes fit large groups really practical. in any case.

We needed to eat somewhere before a show in the palais and found this place on tripadvisor. what a result, we had the chicken wings, the fish tacos, the lamb lona bao with fries. the lona boa was the best I ever tasted. the personal (even if we were too late for our booking) was welcoming, welcoming and delivered our meal times in a timely way that enabled us to enjoy it without rushing to get to the palais theatre for the show (this place is near the venue) the music was a background melody of different genre that did not take up. the COVID problem has been treated politely and is part of today's life. the visit that remembers, it was a last minute extremely pleasant experience.

It was excited to have broken out after blocking. researched menu online and found what we wanted speck and eggs rather simply not too difficult, so we thought. developed to not discover speck and eggs on the menu anymore, but speck and egg...brioche roll available. there were also sandwiches. asked if they could still do speck and eggs on toast. waitstaff asked the owner if he could be accommodated. it was a no. restaurant was not busy. we were actually the only ones there. there was a club sandwich on the map. wanted the speck on the side (bacon was for furry family member) and was said sandwiches are prefabricated and again this could not be recorded. we left and went to another place. they would have been happy to spend $100 for brunch and drinks, but if they change their menu, they will change it online. poor shape.

Has an amazing outdoor area out the back, and some great beers available as well. A really nice and relaxing place. Staff are great as well. Love the place.
