Market Cafe - Glen Eira

It was ok. Furniture had a dirty layered food film, not a great start. Service was good. He had porridge which was supposed to include maple syrup but had a blob of blackberry jam which made it way too sweet. Other than that it was nice. He was also pleased with how hot the coffee was without being burnt. I had the poached eggs and pumpkin which had great flavour contrast with the feta and sweetness of the pumpkin. Toast was way too hard to be enjoyable. Overall cost was $34.20 which is a reasonable price for the area. Would I go back? Let's just say i would eat there again but wouldn't chose it as a "go to place".

For those who prefer enjoying their snack and drink indoors rather than at an outdoor market square table, Market Café is the perfect choice. Sit in comfort away from Melbourne's unpredictable weather and watch the hustle and bustle of the streets.

This is just an average cafe but overpriced. $7.50 for 2 very thin slices of fruit toast is a complete rip off. Coffee was good and hot unlike many places so not a complete loss

We stumbled upon the Market Cafe by chance one morning after a spot of shopping at the Prahran Market. The coffee and muffins served in this charming cafe are of a high quality. The staff is extremely polite, friendly and efficient. We were glad to have found this cafe. So if you are in Prahran looking for a cafe to get a good coffee fix or a quick meal, give the Market Cafe a go!

Situated on the exterior of the Prahran Market building, the Market Cafe is a lovely oasis in which to escape the hilarity of the prices at the market. To develop a mirth-induced appetite, nothing beats the essential ingredients and their purse splitting prices in this very affluent area of Melbourne.We had a delicious steak pie followed by a novel apple crumble; the whole resembling a muffin. The outside was an oaty crust encasing some fresh apple pieces, which retained some delicious crunch.Coffees were of a good quality and the service was charming and extremely efficient.Recommended
