From fair-trade coffee brewed fresh to homemade sausage gravy and biscuits, omelettes however you want, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, you name it...Shelly and Rich sure know how to make a customer happy and FULL. You're always guaranteed organic, locally sourced vegetables and fruits, farm-fresh meat that Shelly cooks herself !!! , and great chat with the friendly owners. Everything is made to order, fresh just for you; the one complaint I have is that they don't ship to London, UK! However, that just makes every visit back to the States that much more exciting, I always look forward to my next delicious breakfasts and lunches at the Glen Gardner General Store because of course I can't just go once per trip! .
This spot is the one I like best. I go to many restaurants but here I constantly return again and again. The crew is very cordial and the cooking they place on your table is so yummy. I never miss an opportunity to have a decent dinner here. I highly recommend this place.
I was introduced to pork roll while dining here and it was by far the best breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten, hands down. The store itself has a cozy and hospitable feel, which is hard to find in the the northeast, and the owner is really helpful and kind. I can't wait to return and try the rest of the menu challah French toast with homemade sausage on the side!? Yes please!
Delicious farm to table food, large portions, great service and low prices. Definitley worth the trip.
