The Motel Manager suggested the Imperial as a good basic pub meal.Perhaps it was an OFF NIGHT.My wife ordered the homemade rissoles with veg and I ordered the chicken parma. After 45 minutes our meals arrived. Only one other meal had emerged from the kitchen in that time. We were the only occupants of the dining room. We were "entertained" while we waited by the loud expletive laced conversation from the public bar.My wife's rissoles were charred on the outside, and the veges were tepid. My Parma arrived with charred edges, cool tasteless tomato topping and the tired salad was undressed. The chips were plentyful and ok.Maybe it was the Chef's RDO?In summary: You have been warned!
Walk into a small but very australian pub. There's a great selection of taxidermy throughout the pub. Friendly locals having a beer after work. Order some dinner at the bar and it didn't take long before we were eating delicious food, i had a beautifully cooked t-bone steak with chip's, salad and Diane sauce. Partner had a chicken Parma with chios and salad, she loved it. Portion sizes were very good. A great little pub with great food
Quirky place with lots of taxidermy around the walls in the front bar. Quick and friendly service, really terrific parmies served with generous and very fresh salads. Also the room was very well heated, which was really welcome on a very cold New England evening. Loved it.
We ate here during the Celtic Festival weekend. Servings were HUGE. Far too much for me. Great pub grub, good prices. Bagpipes ( later joined by a drummer) playing in the bar, and a local character dancing around flapping his scottie dog apron to the music. Staff and owner super friendly and chatty. The bonus entertainment made for and excellent night.
What a find, fantastic food, large servings, friendly service, we went for lunch, very good value & highly recommended
