Al's No 1 Italian Beef

Fast food at its finest! All the stars go to this place. I stopped by to try the Chicago Hot Dog, and it did not disappoint—it was truly delicious! This restaurant deserves every bit of praise it gets. However, don't expect a fancy dining experience. Grab a hot dog and a drink, and enjoy them in a comfortable, air-conditioned setting. Take a moment to appreciate the history captured in the photos adorning the walls. If you can, pay in cash to avoid the 3% card fee.

This is definitely my favorite Italian beef in the city. The restaurant shines a spotlight on this iconic Chicago dish. As always, the food was fantastic. I ordered the beef with giardiniera, and the combo was delightful. The two crispy fries were salty and crisp. The staff is very friendly.

I ordered the Italian beef along with fries, and honestly, as much as I wanted to finish all the generous portions of fries, I just couldn't – the sandwich was massive and filled me up after just one meal. It was served piping hot and fresh. The beef was juicy and, most importantly, incredibly delicious. It’s a gem because the food is outstanding, particularly the Italian beef, and the customer service is top-notch. The staff here is very friendly and attentive. I genuinely enjoyed my dining experience. Plus, the prices are fair and reasonable, which is fantastic considering how tasty their food is – they easily outshine many other places while still keeping their prices affordable. I highly recommend this wonderful fast food restaurant if you're in search of a great meal.
