There were whole beans in it that was not cooked all the way. I always get a red chili burrito enchalida style but the flour tortilla was extremely mushy and this ruined it. However there were nice chunks of beef in it which was pretty much all I could eat. Neither one of us were able to finish the meal and feel like we just threw 34.00 in the garbage with dinner and I had to make something else for dinner. So disappointed as we had been really wanting Mexican food.
We ordered a chimichanga shredded beef burrito and a burger, food did not taste good, burger patty didn't have any flavor, we didn't even eat half of our food and were feeling stomach ache right after.Place is clean and service was good, just didn't like the food!
First and the last time coming to this place, the chips are extremely heavy on the salt, the strawberry margarita had to have the cheapest tequila and was disgusting, when I dug into my pollo fundido the chicken tasted just like the water it was boiled in. I couldn't leave fast enough. The waitress was nice that's the only good thing they had going for them.
I just want to say thank you for the amazing food it is about time!! we moved from a different area and have had the hardest time finding the right spot for Mexican food and thank you Don Juan's better than at least 10 different spots we have tried since moving to this area. The Rice the beans the salsa the guacamole, I ordered a chimichanga and the only complaint was I wish I had more of that red sauce it was sooooo good. Everything is good here.. we will be back often!!
This was a great Mexican food place in nice location in downtown Glendale. The food quality is definitely better than average. I'd give it a 7 out of 10, which to me is a great score. The chips had that nice light crunchiness, and the salsas were tasty and spicy. We ordered a chicken burro and the pollo fundido. The burro was good and had a sauce in the chicken that brought it together well. The pollo fundido was well balanced with just the right amount of sour cream and cheese not too much or too little. We also had birthday ice cream and it was a wonderfully rich vanilla, not the typical cheap stuff. The staff were very good and attentive. They worked together well and did a great job checking in with us. The restaurant was clean and had a bright interior of city paintings and Latin music. Definitely recommend a visit.
