Kumadori - Glendale

I used to order from this restaurant frequently, but dining in was a different experience. The service was decent, though it felt a bit awkward at times. The staff tended to just watch us and would ask if we needed anything every 10 minutes or so. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing, except for the miso soup, which was good. Honestly, I can’t recommend this place, and I wouldn't return.

I had this place on the list places I wanted to try for a long time. When I walked in and looked at the menu I first shocked by the high prices because it's by no means a high end place. It's very casual and seemed too expensive. I thought maybe it's high because it's very fresh and good, after trying it, it was the opposite. It's was old fishy and the cuts of fish were so chewy fat and thick. It was disgusting and not worth it at all. We got cooked salmon and asked for grilled salmon with nothing on it, they gave us old thin deep fried salmon that was terrible. When we tried to tell the workers that the food was gross and inedible the owner came and screamed in our faces telling us we were wrong. I had to wipe the spit off my face because they were screaming so close. All in all a terrible experience. He screamed for such a long time and wouldn't stop. It was appalling. Horrible food terrible service the music was so loud and sounded like we were in a club. I wouldn't go back if you paid me.

This place is DELICIOUS! Came in around 4pm on a Saturday and almost all of the tables were occupied. We were seated right away luckily (for a party of 7). Everything was very clean. One person in our party did the majority of the ordering so I don't recall the names of our orders but literally every single plate was SO GOOD. I'm not a huge fan of crab and typically when you go to sushi spots, most of their plates include it. Here, we had so many different options and only one thing we ordered included crab. The spicy tuna is so fresh and perfectly spiced. The sushi is VERY fresh. Their sauces and garnishments are perfectly paired and the presentation is very appealing. 4 out of 5 stars due to small portions in comparison to pricing. Great service! Very friendly!

- No. 6 Roll: A shrimp tempura wrapped in soy paper, topped with fresh tuna, a spicy creamy sauce, and wasabi tobiko. - Baked Langostino Roll: A California roll topped with baked crustaceans, mushrooms, and a dynamite sauce. - Special Spicy Rainbow Roll: A roll filled with shrimp, asparagus, and cucumber, topped with salmon, tilapia, and avocado. I have a tendency to stick to my usual favorites, but today I decided to step outside my sushi comfort zone. And I'm so glad I did! I loved everything I tried! The Pink Lady roll was simple yet satisfying, with the creamy salmon really standing out. The Special Spicy Rainbow Roll had the perfect balance of spices, freshness, and a nice crunch. As for the No. 6 Roll, it had a spicy kick that made me take a sip of water, but it was just the right amount of heat!

Favorite sushi spot! The rolls are high quality and delicious. Recommend this place!
