Lao Sze Chuan-glendale

We arrived at the restaurant, but it was closed. I'm not quite sure what to make of that.

I am extremely disappointed with both Lao Sze Chuan in Glendale and OpenTable. I have dined at this restaurant several times in the past, but my recent experiences have not been great, likely due to a change in chefs and rising prices. Unfortunately, this latest experience was the final straw for me. I had a relative visiting from out of town and wanted to take them to a nice Chinese restaurant. I made a reservation and received a confirmation through OpenTable. To my surprise and embarrassment, we found the restaurant closed for renovations. OpenTable confirmed our reservation at a restaurant that was not even open, while the website claimed it was. What a mess! I am truly frustrated and at a loss for words.

The dining experience was fantastic, with a wide range of options on the menu showcasing traditional Chinese cuisine. However, the service felt a bit disorganized and inconsistent, though the staff were friendly.

The dessert and beverage prices have increased significantly. there are now fewer dessert options. the amount of food is lower, the prices rise, and eating is not as spicy as before (if they would increase the level of season to its original level). otherwise we like to eat and would come back

So sorry to not recommend this establishment...bland food, sterile atmosphere, nice staff, difficult parking.
