Tokyo Joe's Colo Blvd - Glendale

I have always loved eating at Tokyo Joe's and have never had any issues with their excellent food. Located on Colorado Blvd right next to Whole Foods, the location is convenient and the food has always been great. However, my recent experience on 1/27/22 was completely different. I ordered a steak bowl, California roll, and Joe's soup with extra dark broth for an additional $2.10 for curbside pickup. When I opened the bowl of Joe's soup, there was no extra dark broth and only half the soup I usually receive. I called the restaurant to explain the issue and the general manager, Tom, was very rude and unhelpful. He even refused to offer a refund or make it right. When I suggested sending my husband to pick up a new soup, he cut me off and insisted that the order was correct. I called back to speak to the same person and he continued to speak to me as if he didn't remember our previous conversation. I am disappointed with the way this was handled and may consider contacting Tokyo Joe's corporate office to address my concerns. The lack of customer service in this situation was unacceptable.

Tokyo Joe's is objectively not the best sushi in the world, but its good and I've never been disappointed with the spicy crab wonton roll. Get some extra ginger and Wasabi!

Pretty decent food, very nice staff. Place wasn't real clean though. Only 6 patrons at the time I was there, however it was tough to find a clean table, sticky somthn running down the drink station cabinets, crumbs all over the seats, dust and random food particles under most tables. Likely won't go back, too dirty-ish for me.

Fast rice bowls and poke bowls in various combinations make for a delightful dining experience at Good Trips. The menu for building your own bowl is well-designed, with fresh and quickly prepared ingredients. During my visit for a business lunch, I created a flavorful poke bowl that was perfect. They also offer tempting bento boxes that look excellent. I hope they consider expanding to Salt Lake City.

My first experience at Tokyo Joe's was not disappointing. I loved it.
