As good as any fine dining place for a fraction of the cost. Yea they can be a little slow but worth the wait. They have two bars, one at the back and a second at the front mostly for groups. Always clean. What more can l say!
The ONLY reason you come here, is for drinks. That is it, that is all. The food available is mid grade at its best, but... when you get 2 3 drinks in, I guess others don't mind? I'm not sure, but no thank you. If I'm looking for food to soak up the heavy drinks that they do indeed provide, please get food from another spot.
Always a good time at Lambert's. But know that you may be waiting a while for your drink and to order your food. However, the atmosphere is vibrant and the people are nice and the food... Delicious every time. I was sad that they didn't have the chicken salad that I wanted but the burger did its justice as did the grilled wings and oyster rock
This was my first time at this establishment. I was a bit concerned within the first couple of minutes due to some service elements and the timeframe in which it took us to be greeted. The ambiance wasn 't the greatest. The place was recommended to my friend I due to the reviews of having great food. Sadly, we were not able to experience any food from the menu. By the time we were greeted with service (and given 1 menu to share) we just ordered drinks to decompress and think about food. During what I would estimate about a 45 minute visit, no one came back to check-in, follow-up or take food ordering. In fact, during this time, the Chef came to make an announcement about it being last call in the kitchen. We asked for the check and decided not to stay. Between requesting the check and finally paying, that too was another additional 12-15 minutes added to the wait time. Concluding our visit the bartender came to say goodbye but this was the second time during our full visit that we saw her. She was shocked when we told her briefly that all we had to eat was the Gin Tonic. I enjoyed the music but I don 't think I 'll be returning.
FOOD IS AMAZING!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND OYSTERS ON THE HALF SHELL AND COMBO PLATTER Starting with that in case you're in a hurry... What follows is an honest review... I found this place while talking with a stranger at the bar of my hotel (Double Tree by Hilton in Largo, MD . We walked into the establishment and to be honest, were a little concerned because it wasn't your normal restaurant setting, single building, nice landscaping, professional signage, large parking lot; you know, like any large food chain. It's in kind of a rundown strip type shopping center with a car wash right next door, and parking wasn't that great. We walked in, stood around for a minute, then were told we could seat ourselves. The three of us sat there with only two menus, I was able to look at the menu after my co workers decided, then someone showed up, took our drink and food order, soft drinks are free refills which we got ourselves from the fountain machine; my one co worker ordered the Orange Crush bucket, which is an actual drink in a bucket, it was awesome, the other co worker ended up driving because there was a lot of alcohol.. I was in my own car and I didn't partake, just a sip to try it. Anyway, on to the food, two of us ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell, which came with horse radish, vinegar, cocktail sauce and Tabasco by request. The Oysters were nothing short of AMAZING!!! I literally could have eaten two more dozen, but we also ordered the Combo Platter fried, which came with a large piece of Cod, Scallops, Shrimp, and a nice size Crab Cake, plus two sides, the third co worker ordered a plate full of fried shrimp. We were all pleasantly surprised, the food was soooo good, the batter they dipped the seafood in was light, crispy, with great flavor. The fried shrimp were excellent, and the cocktail sauce had just enough kick. If you're in the mood for GREAT SEAFOOD, you won't be disappointed!!! The only thing that may sound bad is, we didn't really have a dedicated server, it was more like, whoever was near us would ask if we were good, and they were so busy that we waited a little longer than we would have at your normal large chain restaurant, I say that loosely because I've had slow service in large chain restaurant before, and just to clarify, I'm not saying it was bad service, just not as dedicated as I'm use too. With that said, I didn't care that we didn't have a dedicated server, the food was so good, I'd go back without hesitation. The people in the restaurant were so nice, we ended up chatting with the table next to us about their food, which they were all sharing a huge platter of crab, it looked so good, but we just finished work and I joked with them, saying I wasn't in the mood to work for my food.. : The staff were all very nice too, we joked with many in the restaurant; and everyone who walked in had a smile on their face and would give a head nod or a hello. To sum it up, if you're not in a hurry, want to be around people who are enjoying themselves, and are in the mood for excellent seafood GO TO LAMBERT'S SEAFOOD!!!!!
