Very nice place. Good on prices i gpt the e eggs with bacon. The toast was perfect and potatoes flavorful. Highly recomend fir a nice pop in and grab a bite. Has specials daily, a full bar, a very friendly, and acoomidating staff and its like a little step back in time.
Great tasting food, friendly and attentive staff. Place was pretty busy when we stopped in with a party of 11. They got us seated and served in short order. One person's order didn't make it and he had to wait for his food. Chicken fried steak was excellent but I didn't expect to get corn as the vegetables side. Mashed potatoes were great. No one had any complaints about their food. I would definitely stop by and visit again if in the area.
A truly awesome and nostalgic restaurant. We ate breakfast here (our second time in three years) and it was just as good as the first time. Excellent green chili. Perfectly cooked eggs. Oh and a true side of bacon, four large slices! A must stop when in or passing through Glenwood Springs!
19th street Diner is located in beautiful Glenwood Springs, Co. It’s not too far off of I-70 so if you are traveling cross country I recommend you stop by this beautiful town. The parking can be a headache and pretty tight next to the liquor store, so if there’s no parking you can park at a nearby bank and walk a block. The owner was a sweetheart, very kind and so was her son. My oldest son and I had some good conversations with him. The food was quickly prepared and fresh. The portion sizes were great and fairly priced (they were cheap! . I ordered the open face cheeseburger with chili and it was delicious. My only issue (which isn’t necessarily a problem with the Diner or it’s staff was some other customers. They appeared to be very racist, breaking their necks to stare at my family and I, giving dirty looks and whispering to each other etc. When my wife attempted to pacify them with smiles, it was met with cold angry stares. I am used to it but it wasn’t what I was looking forward to when Dining in after a 17 hour drive with 4 hours of driving ahead of us still. Again, we had no issue with the workers of 19th Street Diner, it was locals dining in.
