This place has elevated all standard breakfast and lunch favorites. Even a simple quiche just hits different! The smash burger pictured below was insane!!!
I was tootling around the Manchester/Magnolia area, as I'm new to the North Shore, and I spotted the Happy Humpback just about brunch time. It's a good corner location with a big patio but I sat inside where it was empty and ordered from the very engaging young man at the counter. It wasn't that busy when I arrived but as I sat waiting for my breakfast sandwich and coffee, more tables filled inside and three of them ordered, ate and left before my food arrived. I asked about the delay a couple of times and was told mine would be out soon. And then I waited some more. It was 40 minutes, and I could see the guys working in the kitchen. Finally the two items I ordered turned up and they were good but that wait seemed much too long for such a simple order. Maybe just an off day in the kitchen?
My friend and I stopped here on our way to Hammond Castel, such a wonderful little spot! There isn't much going on inside, almost a basic diner setup, but the FOOD! I had The Half Moon and it was my favorite sandwich of my trip. All the flavors just blend so well together. If we had more time I would have gone back again. Don't miss this little spot, it's worth the time!
Mediocre coffee and the coffee cake was less than satisfactory. Only one happy with there meal was my daughter.
