Happy Lam - Gloucester

This is definitely our top choice for Chinese food. The dishes are always served hot, fresh, and delicious! We've also visited the closest Chinese restaurant in Findlay Creek, but it is significantly more expensive and doesn't match the quality. Happy Lam will satisfy both your wallet and appetite! The drive is definitely worth it.

The food at this restaurant is of very good quality. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the taste is excellent. This is definitely my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Ottawa area. However, it is more focused on takeout as the dining area is clean but a bit old-fashioned.

Eggrolls and chicken balls were EXTREMELLY dry. obviouosly they had been reheated many times. food was so bad that we were sick due to food poisonning. NEVER AGAIN!

Terrible now. Ordered a couple hundred dollars of food over a day before to pick up at a certain time the following day and waited over half an hour after scheduled pick up time. Even after phoning 30 minutes before scheduled pickup time and being told it would be ready on time. There’s no excuse for having over 24 hours to prepare the food and not having it ready, and then lying about the order being ready on time, only to be told once there that it’s not even close to being ready. It used to be good here….too bad.

Ordered enough food for 6 adults. We had the perfect amount. Breaded shrimp and lemon chicken were the highlights of the meal. Not much taste to the beef and broccoli. No white rice included with our order. I thought all places did that complimentary. We would order there again.
