The staff is friendly, the beer is great, and the atmosphere is peaceful and tucked away from the hustle and bustle.

A very busy cafe with some items on the menu sold out. However what we did have was much improved by a bowl of free chips as they had been omitted from the order. Job well done thankyou.

I always enjoy a stroll along the canal, especially on a sunny afternoon, followed by a hot coffee or tea and a slice of cake at the stables. The banana crumb cake is especially delightful. The place is consistently very clean, and the staff is always friendly. It's quite popular and can get busy, so it's wise to choose your timing accordingly. I don’t think anyone would be disappointed with a visit here; we always have a great time. Additionally, it's dog-friendly, with water bowls available and even the nearly essential dog-friendly ice cream. Our pup certainly enjoys her treats, and at £2.10 (as of February 2022), it’s a budget-friendly option as well.

I visited last week while walking along the canal path. I had a latte and a chocolate treat, and I really had to resist the temptation to order two or three more cakes! I will definitely be back!
