Re: the seafood stew. My husband and I had just returned from France where we spent part of that time in Marseille—a city renowned for many things, not least of all, its bouillabaisse, which So, we’re here in St. Simon Island on our honeymoon, and it pained me to admit to my French husband that I preferred Halyards’ seafood stew. Honestly, it is very close. But this is tremendously high praise for anyone that’s had the experience of dining in France. If we pass back thru Southern GA again, we absolutely will return.

I don’t write many online reviews but Halyard’s deserves one. We were in a bad mood after two days of mediocre fried food at various tourist traps in the area. Just wanted good seafood at reasonable prices and Halyard’s was awesome. We had the flounder and shrimp and grits. Picky teenagers said the burger and beef stir fry were great. Service was top notch. Would come back regularly if we didn’t live 3,000 miles away. Food: 5
