I was somewhat disappointed with the food, as it was just okay and nothing particularly outstanding. This was my second visit in recent times, but I used to be a regular customer a few years ago when the food, service, and value were much better. Unfortunately, neither of my recent visits stood out as something truly memorable, which is disappointing.
We chose The Bell primarily for its convenient location, but we were pleasantly surprised by our experience. The menu offered a great selection for both meat-eaters and vegetarians, the food was delicious, the service was friendly, and overall it was a satisfying meal. We will definitely be returning in the future!
Everything was “OK”, but nothing special. 20 minutes traveled to get there and we felt it was not worth the ride. £85 for a 3-course menu for two with wine and when we came home, we had a snack because we were still hungry. Very strange “Relish/chutney/sauce” served with the cheese of taste and the texture was unpalatable.
They did not honor the reservation even though the restaurant was completely empty. We don 't really except open table reservations. They send us an email and we only sometimes get it
