But if I'm on the road for professional reasons and plan Görlitz as a stopover for my trips to Ostrava, then the Emmerich is a little unfavorable to get to the car and I book a room in hotels with parking. In addition, the Emmerich was a hotel without gastronomy until spring 2020. This has changed since that date. For two and a half years now the restaurant Horschel has been part of the house. I wasn't in Görlitz for a while, but in the calendar week 41 I had planned an overnight stay again. The selected hotel had closed its restaurant on Monday, October 10. So I went to the interesting old town of Görlitz, made a big arc around the frightening multi-headed Monday demo in the city centre and thought about where I wanted to return. On the way to the already known restaurant Lucie Schulte, I suddenly stood in mind before the entrance of the Hotel Emmerich. Right, there was a gastronomy now! I looked through the large discs into the guest room. Apparently, guests sat at tables. So look in and around, the interior was very successful. And I had already taken a look at the card in the darklight, and the offer made me decide to ask for a table. A young lady had to make sure that's what happened because a bigger company was too busy that night. But I finally got this table. There I made it cozy and let me give the card. The offer is summarized on a DIN A4 page and consists of maybe 10 appetizers, 10 main dishes and a few desserts. The kitchen is not determined by topic, perhaps there is a small swing to moderate Mediterranean cuisine. The map can be viewed on the HP. First order a drink. A non-alcoholic beer should be it and served me a yineken. I don't know when I drank this last time. But as a non-alcoholic beer it was okay and there was one more ordered over the evening. In the neighboring table I noticed that a soup was served. In the map, however, there was no mention of a corresponding offer. So once the service was asked and I was informed that there would always be a day soup. I don't know how they called, but I still remember that it should be a soup recipe from neighbouring Poland. That could be good, the clear vegetable soup had distinctly acidic notes and was very well tasted. I always like that, and so I was happy with my appetizer. My main food was a vegetarian. Ravioli filled with buffalo ricotta and spinach, plus cheese sauce, pear puree and sesame sounded tempting! Served was a portion which would have been well portioned as an intermediate dish. But for that the taste was very good! Perfectly cooked pastel pastry bags, with a well-luged filling, complemented by pear puree and roasted sesame. Very unusual! I was more than happy here, too. Since the portion was quite small, another dessert went to the espresso. The card offered sounding options, but to the espresso best a Tartufo, there were various options, Nero with Zabaioneeis, Nocciola with hazelnuts, Fragola with strawberry and Baiser. You see my choice clearly on the photo. Perfect for espresso and a good conclusion of my first dinner at Horschel in Görlitz. The two young ladies in service made their thing very good. Despite high utilisation, all guests were in sight and it was always time for a demand for satisfaction. I felt very comfortable at my little table. So for the conclusion of my dinner at Horschel at Hotel Emmerich. I'm going to drive the A4 towards Wroclaw again soon, and I'm glad that next to Lucie Schulte there is a second restaurant that I like to return to. To say goodbye, something that gave me some wonderful memories of my dear Grandma Mine. This Wilhelmina Peppermuntjes always had himself in the handbag and enjoyed small grandchildren! Something western Dutch in Görlitz on an evening when a few streets continue to roar confused people obscure slogans. I do not give up the hope that we all rejoice in today's times.
