Izakaya Sumi - Gold Coast

If you find yourself in the South of France between Marseilles and Nice, this hotel/golf resort is a fantastic option.

As locals, we always make sure to stop by Sumi whenever we can. Our kids enjoy it too, and they are always welcome. The cozy and inviting atmosphere, combined with the delicious and fresh-tasting food, makes it a favorite for our whole family. Ordering on the iPad allows you to customize your order to your liking. Their fresh juices, made from a special recipe, are absolutely amazing. The hike to get there is worth it, and you can even take a stroll along the Broadwater afterwards.

The Gateball group from Southport Croquet Club arranged for a group booking for 15 people after our weekly gateball session at the club opposite the restaurant. Ki was excellent with all of her assistance to us. The staff were very helpful. The food was brilliant with everyone enjoying their order. We will want to return. It was a novel method of ordering food with special iPad type devices. Once it was explained we all coped very well. The food seems to arrive quicker this way as the order goes directly to the kitchen. As far as prices go, you could to find a more reasonably priced eating place anywhere else. A memorable night.

Dined in alone whilst staying above at the Meriton. Absolutely delicious. The menu set up is awesome as you order off an iPad and send to the kitchen yourself...it's great if your like me and have a hard time making up your mind! You just add whatever you like at anytime! Super fast service...and very friendly staff. Highly recommend!
