Melba's On The Park Restaurant

The 241 dinners weren't the usual pay for the more expensive one you had to literally order the same meals which was difficult because not everyone eats the same food. The meals came with 2 sides of your choice but on this night you could only have chips and salad despite the requested side being cheaper than the options. This wasn't told until the meals had been fully ordered and paid for. The medium steak came out blue and our friends had completely finished their dinner before the steak came out cooked as requested and the staff were completely clueless with no idea which meal was who's. Avoid this place on 241 Wednesday it isn't worth it!

Value lunch meal, good hospitality and friendly staff!! We had a enjoy lunch when we went to Melbas on the Surfers Paradise last Saturday. We recommend for a $10 lunch also choice of scotch steak. You could sit anywhere, lounge chairs, high chair and table but outside area only drinks. We enjoyed our meal and very friendly services. We are going back on anoter day!!

I ate here about four years ago and was looking forward to going back. Without exaggeration, it would have to be the worst meal I have ever had. And I would query the use of "restaurant" as a category? It was a nightclub that offered a choice of four main meals and the rest are bar snacks. There is no waitress service - you order and pay, and receive a number to place on the table. The entree arrived at the same time as the main meals. The "flame grilled chicken breast" was reheated, dried-out chicken with gravox, not jus. The 'chicken, bacon and avocado salad' had five-day-old reheated chicken that resembled lumps of rock. The blue cheese dressing was chunks of blue cheese that overpowered the salad. It was inedible.

Waiting to take an afternoon cruise and decided to have lunch first nearest restaurant was Melba's on The Park and we certainly weren't disappointed. What a great menu and specials board had the Sunday Roast Lamb special by god what a beautiful meal my wife had the lamb shanks both 10/10. Big thank you to the staff and chefs all so helpful and friendly, if in Surfers Paradise call in and try them out.

Spent near on every day at Melbas whether it be beers, lunch or dinner and enjoyed their free wi-fi and sports facilities. Take advantage of their really great deals. See you next time.
