The enticing aroma of delicious curry wafts through the air, creating a memorable first impression. The extensive menu offers a variety of dishes, with Punjabi cuisine being a must-try. I highly recommend the chicken drumsticks and goat curry with two types of naan bread - they are excellent. The friendly and efficient service, possibly from Nick, sets a positive tone for the dining experience. There is parking available outside, likely for a fee, but it is very convenient. Takeaway options are also available.
We were recommended this small Indian restaurant by an Indian worker and visited twice. The Nordic cuisine is a hidden gem, offering generous portions at a low cost and absolutely delicious flavors. If you prefer your food spicy, be sure to request it as the chef is mindful of spice levels. The waiter was very attentive and the best naan/roti in the city.
What a pleasant surprise! Despite my initial skepticism, I decided to try Pure Punjabi, a small Indian restaurant in what seems to be Chinatown on Davenport Street in Southport. The exterior wasn't very inviting, but the aroma of spices lured me inside. We were warmly welcomed by Nick, who served as our host, chef, and waiter. He went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our meal, even offering items not on the menu. The food, including chicken tandoori and goat vindaloo, was authentic and delicious. Nick checked in on us regularly to ensure we were satisfied, showcasing his pride in his culinary skills. We now visit Pure Punjabi every Thursday to enjoy the exceptional food and service at this hidden gem in Southport. Don't be fooled by the exterior - this restaurant offers top-notch quality and deserves a 5-star rating.

However, the delicious curry aromas wafting around makes for good first impressions.A large menu of just about anything Punjabi is a must to try. The chicken drumsticks and goat curry with two flavors of Naan bread are excellent I think.Pleasant fast service by Nick I think it was really set the tone.Parking outside , paid probably but very close. This little Indian restaurant was recommended by an Indian associate. We have been twice. The northern Indian cuisine is homely, generous reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. But if you like it hot make sure you ask for hot as the chef is very aware of Aussie tastes. The waiter was extremely attentive. Best nan/roti in town.
