Thai Republic - Gold Coast

Found this great little restaurant after searching trip advisor. The staff were friendly and helpful. We tried the crispy pork with basil and loved it. Perfect amount of heat / spice. Fresh and tasty. Quick and very reasonably priced. Would definitely return and recommend.

I went to this restaurant for lunch on my own only because I felt like to have laksa soup and this was the first restaurant I came across. The restaurant itself is not fancy or anything but I am so glad I went cuz their laksa was divine! I ordered seafood laksa and it came in a big bowl with 2 different noodles, crunch noodle on the top as garnish (nice touch) and good portion of seafood - fish, calamari

Looking for somewhere to have a great meal without the hoo-ha of Surfers Paradise and the high price tags, we stumbled on Thai Republic and were so glad we did! A cosy little place located in the old Centre Arcade, it appears like it might have a lot of competitors with it's neighbouring Asian cafes/restaurants but from out perspective, there's nothing to compare! The service and food is fantastic, as are the prices. We enjoyed a Beef and a Chicken dish plus their amazing Pad Thai. We'll definitely head back there next time we're on the coast.

I have dined here a few times and it has been consistently good! This is the only Thai restaurant that I have finished the coconut rice, it is that good! Meals are always served promptly and Pad Thai is a stand out.
