Additionally, there were $58 in extra fees including double taxation, a beverage tax, wine tax, service fees, food tax, and food service fees. Considering the high amount of additional fees, the quality of food and service did not justify the overall cost.
I hadn't visited Benihana in a while, and the experience was just as good as I remembered. The skill of the chef really impacts the experience. Our chef was good, but not amazing, while the chef at the table next to us had his diners dancing and cheering with his impressive performance. The service was decent and the food was enjoyable.
I have been here many times but this time it seemed pretty run down. The first table we sat at had a leak dripping on us from the ceiling. When I went to the restroom I walked by a room and saw flies flying around. It was pretty gross. They then brought us to a new table in a room that was extremely cold. We were all wearing our coats. Someone in our party ordered sushi as their entree and it never came, we ended up cancelling it since the rest of us were done eating. For the cost of this place you should be treated like a fine dining restaurant. I think Benihana can do a lot better than this.
Everything was good for a lunch time seating. Good food and an entertaining cook. The only negative was that my companion upgraded her steak and we both heard $3, but it was $7 on the bill. The server didn't seem willing to adjust it. Not enough to make a fuss over. A good experience!
Definitely no bugs in the food. Also no worries all bad reviews are allowed by open table so you can TOTTALY TRUST THEM.
