Angel Oak At Bacara - Goleta

During our stay at the Ritz, we decided to dine at this restaurant instead of venturing into town. However, we were disappointed by the high prices and the small portions of mediocre food. The place is definitely overrated. I would rate the food a 1 out of 5, the service a 3 out of 5, and the atmosphere a 3 out of 5. The price per person ranges between $50-$100 for dinner.

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! It is situated within the Bacara resort. We enjoyed our meal on the outdoor patio, which had stunning ocean views. The food was delicious, especially the steak and brussel sprouts. In my opinion, this is a great place to dine. The service was top-notch, as expected at the Bacara. However, it is the atmosphere that truly sets this place apart. If you ever stay at the Bacara, make sure to have a meal here. Service: Dine in

My party of two arrived at the restaurant and were promptly seated, given water, olives, and nuts. However, the service was very slow. We ordered two appetizers and two main dishes, but received our main dishes before the appetizers. We were also served extra cocktails that we didn't order, which were added to our bill. Despite the slow service, we decided not to complain and just leave. The food was average and not worth the $250 we paid for the meal. The lobster tail we ordered was a tiny portion, with just a couple of leaves on the plate. I would rather go to a taco stand for a more delicious and faster meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, but we were charged $20 for valet parking, even though we didn't use the service. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.
