Cold beer, good music, great people. One of the oldest, and still my favorite. Loved this place as a kid (young adult for the liberals) and even more after coming home to learn of, and assisted in, the trimmings of every tree on the property inpreperation for the reopening and new life. Cheers to many more years and one of the greatest honky tonk bars on the planet.Nobody does honky tonk like Texas. So if that's what your looking for, this would be the epitome and embodiment of a damn goodTexas time
Had a great time here! 4 bands, three shots, 2 friends and 1 cop who pulled me over for not dimming my lights. No ticket!!
TOTALLY NOT A FRIENDLY TEXAS DANCE HALL EXPERIENCE! We have been on a week long tour of the famous Texas dance halls. So far all of them have had friendly staff, great music, that old time dance hall charm, and were super fun. We showed up in our motor home at Schroeder Hall today, excited to see the place and to see Hoobastank tonight (which I spent close to $100 on). The manager (I guess) came out and asked what we were doing totally not friendly or welcoming and said we should really park the motor home in a field across the road but it's too muddy so we could go to the far edge of the parking lot also muddy. So we moved and went in to check the place out and take a few pics as we have at all the halls when we were told no pictures could be taken. Also the place was like a metal building with any old nightclub vibe not a classic Texas dance hall. Needless to say we left and won't be back. What a disappointment.
Awesome venue, but they do not get alot of rock bands in. The food is absolutely amazing and the bartenders are all good.
