Kamal's Kafe - Gonzales

Groupon good gyros. I find it hard to screw up a gyro but I have seem some do it. This place makes a nice gyro that you would expect from a g&l place. I never knew what kind of place this was until I saw the groupon. They should rename it or try and put some signs up showing what kind of food they offer. I 've always found it confusing when a place changes the spelling of a word in an attempt to make it creative. Still bothers me that they spell Cafe with a 'k '. Whatever, food is good.

Great food and great atmosphere. I've been here probably 20+ times and always came away feeling good about choosing Kamal's. Not sure what a previous reviewer was talking about but the owner speaks English and is a warm, outgoing, genuine person who takes the time to greet everyone when he is there.

Cool little place with a great atmosphere and good service. The prices and portions on the lunch menu will not leave you hungry. The food was fresh and delicious. I had the gyro and chicken combo. The chicken was a little dry for my taste, but everything else was delicious. Will be returning for lunch when I'm in the area.

Very good food, friendly service. Owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome . Will definately dine here again!

Best Chicken Shawarma. I recently had the best chicken shawarma plate I've eaten in a long time. I'm glad Kamal's Kafe caught my eye while driving through Gonzales. This place appears to do a brisk business. A gentleman, who appeared to be the owner, was welcoming and frequently made the rounds checking in on patrons. Waitstaff are professional and efficient. Average, nothing special, yet fully practical interior setting. Your focus should be on the meal, which is very good.
