They must believe their food is worth its weight in gold because charging $51.00 for just 5 ribs, 2 pints of beans, and a small potato salad is absurd. I won’t be returning; it seems like they expect everyone to foot the bill for their new location. Honestly, the food isn’t good enough to justify the high prices.
The food was excellent; the brisket was so tender that it didn't even require a knife, and it was both moist and flavorful. The ribs were generous in size and also very tender. I enjoyed the baked beans, and the potato salad was quite good—definitely unique and not mustard-based. Our waitress was friendly, polite, and attentive, making for a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely return!
After reading the reviews, we decided to give it a try. One thing is clear: you can’t please everyone. When you trim the fat off the brisket, you also cut away some of the flavor and moisture. Unfortunately, the brisket we had was dry and tough. The sausage, however, was quite good. I’ve never seen a BBQ sandwich grilled like a panini before. It was dry as well, and some added moisture would have really improved it. We did mention this to the waitress, suggesting that they add some spices to the meat and cook it low and slow. When a customer asks for moist, they deserve moist—not dry.
The grill and fryer were not working during my visit, and I hope they can fix them soon. I would have liked the potatoes to be mixed with butter before they added the meat, but the baked potato was actually quite good.
