Le Cercle Republicain - Gordes

Ideal place to have an authentic french coffee in an otherwise not so authentic village. Nice little terras with a view on the Luberon.

This never happened in my entire life! We found two cockroaches in our drinks... Aside from that, the lady who works there was very rude and making fun of us beacuse we were foreigners and didn't speak french.

Small coffee bar frequented mainly by locals. Few simple, bare tables. Order at the bar and take to a table or drink standing up. Select from basket of croissants on bar but don't expect to be given a plate. Service is non-existent so if you just want a quick coffee and don't care about ambience, this may do.

Fortunately the circle is there. It's our village café. Bravo to those who work there, the atmosphere is authentic.

It's an authentic bistro like we do more. There are also the people of the country like the horde of tourists who rush to the end of the terrace with 6 tables no more. We syrup the surroundings because this tiny terrace has a breathtaking view. I say it's an associative place. Especially take the time to go.
