Contribuisci feedbackWe visited for a couple of dinners, and a few standout themes emerged: the chef excels at preparing meats, and the desserts, especially the cakes, are remarkable. For meats, we had the applewood smoked ribeye (served with a flourish under a smoking glass), back ribs featuring a tasty Jack Daniels rub, and a beef kebab appetizer that packed the flavor of a main course—all of which were excellent. For pasta dishes, we tried a couple that were quite good. The creamy seafood pasta had a delightful sauce, highlighted by perfectly cooked scallops, while the three-cheese lasagna was wonderfully cheesy with flavorful meat. The salads, including the garden and Caesar, were decent but didn't stand out. As for desserts, the chocolate cake, with its three layers of indulgence, and the carrot cake, rich with cream cheese frosting, were the perfect ways to conclude our meals. Overall, while it may be pricey, it’s definitely worth it if you're looking for a delightful culinary experience on the island.
Chef Alberto and his team offer a unique menu that sets them apart in the area, all while supporting local suppliers. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time and arrive on schedule. There are two tables with an unobstructed view of the water that are definitely worth seeking out. Janet did a fantastic job providing warm and efficient service, all while adhering to COVID-19 guidelines. We thoroughly enjoyed our two dinners during our stay at the Inn. They welcome reservations and takeout from guests who aren't staying at the Inn as well. Chef Alberto's meat dishes really shine—his steak, kebabs, and ribs were especially delicious. The pasta was also good and reasonably priced. It's a wonderful place to celebrate and unwind, making the premium prices worth it!
What a delightful little gem in Gore Bay on Manitoulin Island! The menu was impressive, leading to a favorite Friday night choice and a very happy customer. We can't wait to return, especially since we've heard that reservations for spring and summer fill up quickly. Be sure to try it out as well!
Janet welcomed us at the door and asked for proof of vaccination before showing us to our table. My wife and our friends enjoyed a fantastic meal of ribs paired with a lovely bottle of Pinot Noir. The restaurant was immaculate, and our server, Janet, provided excellent personalized service. I would highly recommend this place for a relaxing fine dining experience this winter.
Always a top-tier experience. The food is outstanding, the ambiance is delightful, and the service is excellent. A truly upscale dining experience.
