Tuk Away Gort

I had authentic Italian pizza at this restaurant, which I have not experienced in Ireland before. Despite arriving late, I received friendly service and was served delicious pizza. I forgot to ask for it to be cooked well done, as the Irish prefer their pizza blonde, but I am confident that they would have accommodated my request.

Visited (4 adults 2 children). Starters were delicious and pizzas were amazing best we’ve had. Highly recommend this little place and will certainly return!

We happened upon this place on our way from salthill to Limerick and my god are we glad we did! The pizzas were incredible. A great example of simple done extremely well. The dough was delicious, we didn’t leave a scrap of crust! Highly recommend the Sapori del sud pizza! Wish I lived closer to Gort...

We were travelling back from Galway city and stumbled across this place and thank god we did. The pizza is absolutely DELCIOUS, we all cleared our plates and would have eaten a second one but were stuffed! Their chilli oil is divine too. Staff were so lovely too and accommodating to us and my sisters toddler. The next time we’re near Gort, we would definitely call there again.

Best pizza I’ve had in Ireland a real New Haven (Connecticut) style pie pizza Napolitano, originally, of course (google New Haven apizza). The Granary cold proofs their dough and chars it just right in a super hot oven. A properly fermented, properly baked crust the flavour is so much deeper than quick rise New York crust. The toppings are fresh authentic too (I like to create my own). And the chips are gorgeous. The management staff are so friendly even though I have a Just Eat account, for me it’s more pleasant to call in my order (and it’s better for the restaurant anyway). I saved their number in my phone after the first meal in the restaurant, which is clean and hip, when they first opened. Hopefully we get to dine in again, at some stage. But regular takeaway during lockdown has made The Granary a firm habit in any case. YUM!
