It was closed why we could book a table of return to have very disappointed closed

The food was first-class and well presented with a menu that not overwhelmingly cried four of us and dined big!

I have booked this lunch with them and received a confirmation on my phone and then reminded that "I would still participate. ", which I also answered. the bulls on my phone. I arrived just to see a sign on the door that they closed because of a high-time function. I called them to say that they were actually closed out of this ground and apologised about the accounting error. I was very happy to get a table in a nearby restaurant in so short time on a Saturday. later I called the manager to complain, but she said it was 'open tables' mistakes, which a pathetic apologies due to the confirmation I had received. the manager did not seem particularly disturbed, I think I should be recompensed on some way for the massive error on her part. my son, (who hadn't seen in seven weeks) and his friend had come to visit me from portsmouth, and that should be a special occasion. I'm very disappointed.

Unfortunately the place was practically empty, which probably contributed to the lack of atmosphere. the service in the restaurant was terrible, but there were only 1 young young who took food and drink orders and then brought everything to the table. we had waited long!. but there were many bar staff I didn't think was right. eating was in order, not amazing. starter was a little strange I huge glass chicken liver pat with a small piece of brot?! I heard good things about the place, but found the whole experience drab and disappointing. would not go back or recommend for eating. You may only drink if you drink with a lot.

Booked a table on line for 1945 arrived to be told there would be an hour wait ! Left went next door to Artys great food and arrive in there
