Contribuisci feedbackWe were a party of four celebrating my husband's birthday! We couldn't fault our friendly welcome, our three entrees (pork belly, barramundi-chorizo skewers and salt and pepper squid), and we were all overwhelmed by the size and quality of our mains (lamb shanks, rib eye, barramundi and stuffed chicken). It was cold night so we requested the table by the open fire - glorious! Thanks Fireside team - we will be back!
Took my parent's here for lunch today, enjoyed a very nice 3 course meal along with a decent bottle of wine and coffees to finish. Barramundi enjoyed by parents, pork belly by me. Service and meals both very nice thank you, and the tariff was very reasonable. Had eaten here quite a few years ago several times, and was pleased to see the chef/owner and staff are doing such a great job in continuing the charm of the Fireside Inn. Thanks, and hope to dine with you again soon.
The Fireside Inn is quaint, or many would say dated. It has been the same for as long as I can remember. It has alot of potential and a makeover could make it really something special. We were a group of 20 that had pre ordered. Service was not fantastic. One person asked for some garlic bread and that was bought out with many asking how did you get that? Would have been nice to ask everyone. Entree of pork belly was generous size and very tasty. Main of barramundi was drowned in a sauce and cold to Luke warm. Another chicken meal was also cold. I think they may have reheated some in microwave trying to get all meals served at once. Desserts were large and everyone enjoyed them. A little bit of work and this would be a lovely place to eat. Location opposite the park in central Goulburn with plenty of parking. Open fire for those cold Goulburn nights.
Had a great night at the fireside, excellent food, wine, service and company. I had the steak and it was amazing. If you come to goulburn treat yourself to an amazing well priced super delicious night out.
This is really like an English pub. It's in a bit of time warp but that's part of it's charm. There are beams, tapestry curtains, booths, captain's chairs and, of course, a roaring fire. This is not fine dining. So don't expect that. But the service was friendly and efficient, the meals were hearty and generous. We all had the pork belly and pear entree thought it delicious. I can't think of a better place to while away a winter's evening. A real find in Goulburn.
